On the night of January 6, 2024, a suspect (01) was arrested with a cache of 526 drug tablets during a joint search operation by the Sri Lankan Navy and police in Ambarnagar, Talaimannar.
Accordingly, in a joint search operation carried out in Ambarnagar district on January 6, 2024, the Sri Lankan Navy Ship Tammanna Institute of North Central Naval Command and the Special Task Force of Mannar Police inspected a suspicious house.
There, the suspect (01) was arrested with 526 drugs hidden in a bag buried behind his house.
Through this operation, the arrested suspect was identified as a 30-year-old resident of Talaimannarama area and the suspect (01) and the cache of pills were handed over to the Talaimannarama police for further investigation. .
